professional code
of ethics

We subscribe to the Professional Code of Ethics of the primary professional organizations we belong to: Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), International Association of Facilitators (IAF), National Bureau of Certified Consultants (NBCC), and National Speakers Association (NSA). The Code of Ethics is mandatory in character. It serves as a basis for disciplinary action when the conduct of a consultant falls below the required standards. Some key concepts that you should be aware of:

clients
  • We will server our clients with integrity, completence and objectivity
  • We will respect all client information as confidential and will use propiety client information only with client permission.
  • We will not seek a client engagement if a conflict of interest is known to exist.
  • We will establish realistic expectations of the benefits and results of our services.
engagements
  • We will accept only engagements which have the potential of providing a genuine benefit to the client and for which we are qualified by our experience and competence.
  • We are in service to the client and participants, using our competence to add value to their work.
  • Before accepting any engagement, we will establish a mutual understanding of the objectives, scope, work plan and fee arrangements.
  • We respect the needs and culture of the group, designing interventions to take them from where they are to where they want to be.
  • We create an environment of respect and safety where all participants can speak freely.
  • We will offer to withdraw from an engagement when our objectivity or integrity may be impaired.
fees
  • We will agree independently and in advance on the basis for our fees and expenses, we will charge fees and expenses that are reasonable, legitimate and commensurate with the service we deliver.
  • We will disclose to our ckients in advance any fees or commissions that we will receive for equipment, supplies or services we recommend to our clients.
profession
  • We will respect the intellectual property rights of our clients, other consulting firms, and sole practitioners.
  • We are responsible for continuous improvement of our facilitation skills and knowledge.
  • We will represent the profession with integrity and professionalism in our relations with our clients, colleagues and general public.
