Welcome!

Kristin Arnold just loves working with teams. You could say she has a passion for teams. Back in 1990, when the Coast Guard was looking to fill a strange new position called “team facilitator,” they instantly thought of Kristin. Recognizing her natural inclination to build extraordinary teams, they decided to make her a facilitator. And she was so successful, people in the community started asking her to facilitate their teams, and QPC was born!

There’s more to Kristin than just QPC, Inc.

history & geography

Born and raised in Encino, CA, Kristin decided she was going to go to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT while she was in 9th grade…and this is even before women were allowed to go to the academy. In 1978, Kristin entered the third class of women to attend USCGA, and managed to survive four years of military prison. Got a great education, saw much of the world in the summer, but not a whole lot of fun during the school year. In 1982, Kristin graduated and was stationed onboard a buoy tender, USCGC Buttonwood, in Galveston, Texas. The only woman on board with 52 men, the skipper (and his wife) were terrified! But after a while, things calmed down and Kristin was qualified as a Deck Watch Officer and promoted to Operations Officer.

Kristin then served in several staff management jobs in San Francisco: Small Boat and Aviation Facility Manager and Military Personnel Branch Chief – the perfect environment to hone her team skills. In the meantime, Kristin earned her MBA from St. Mary’s College of Moraga, CA. and discovered her passion for teams.
